Murray and Jane have been married for 19 years and are the parents of two great daughters, Emily (19) and Alice (15). They love doing life with each other and with the Nexus community and are excited by all that God is doing.

Murray is a keen student of leadership and follower of sport, particularly Rugby Union.His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Educational Studies, Master of Educational Administration, and Master of Business Administration.  In 1993 he was awarded a Faculty Medal for highest results in the Master of Educational Administration program.  He is currently completing a Master of Arts (Theological Studies).

Jane also comes from an educational background, and is a qualified teacher. She loves being a wife, mother and friend and has a great gift at connecting with and loving people. She is honoured to pastor alongside Murray at Nexus.  It is her desire to encourage, inspire and love all Nexus women.

Glen has attended Nexus Church for over 25 years and currently oversees Pastoral Care in the life of the church. He has been married to Maureen for 20 years, and they have four children – Ruth, Benjamin, Phoebe and David. Glen has also trained as a Secondary School teacher and holds a number of qualifications in Arts and Theology. He has just completed a Master of Theology with the Brisbane College of Theology.

Communications & Young Adults Pastors

Ruth and Stephen have been with us for years, and have loved building into Nexus in several key areas. They currently pastor our young adults movement and want to see a whole generation empowered to change their world. They love great coffee, hanging out with friends and meeting new people. Steve has a film production company, and loves bringing great stories to light. Ruth works at the church, overseeing communications, young adults and a few other portfolios and recently completed a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Management and Leadership.

Wendy's great love is, and always has been, serving the house. She is excited about being back on staff at Nexus after being involved in other areas of Christian ministry for a period of time. Her portfolio as Church Life and Events Pastor suits her creative edge well, and she is always on the lookout for similar minded people who want to help build the house of God and make it great. Her love of travel has led her to visit over 45 countries, but right now wouldn’t be anywhere other that right here at Nexus.

Mick recently left the Army after 24 years of service as a Paratrooper to serve at Nexus as the Executive Pastor. His desire is for the men of Nexus to become beacons for leading their families, colleagues, and friends closer to Jesus. He is also privileged to lead the Welcome Team on Sundays with his wife Janet. Mick and Janet have five daughters, four hens, and two female guinea pigs. It is no wonder he loves men’s ministry...

Tim has been with us for over five years and is so excited about what God is doing at Nexus. He and his wife Jess provide pastoral leadership and direction to the Creative Team. Tim loves pizza, hanging out with friends and family, and watching a great DVD. Tim loves being at the church overseeing Creative and Events and having a whole lot of fun!

Dave and Jude have attended Nexus for several years and have a great passion for children and bringing them into a relationship with God. They have been married for 15 years and have three children - Zachary, Mariah and Josiah. Both Dave and Jude are Primary teachers and each hold a Bachelor of Ministries. Together, Dave and Jude coordinate the Children’s and Young Families Ministries here at Nexus Church. Their desire is to connect families and to see the next generation of Nexus raised up and loving Jesus with all their hearts.

Serving almost twenty six years in Youth Ministry, Jim and Robyn McMillan have a heart to see young people changed by the power of Christ. They come with a fresh vision to see young people grow and be empowered to change their world. Jim is also a mean barista, and will make you an excellent espresso if you can catch him standing still!

Linda is passionate about God, Missions and seeing young women reach their full potential in Jesus. She has been a member of Nexus for several years and is thrilled to be on the team as the Missional Assistant, working closely with the Senior Executive team. Linda is also on the Global Outreach team. She and her husband Bryan and son Tim enjoy eating good food and walking their two huskies Jack & Diesel.

Gayle Barnes

Gayle has been at Nexus for over 25 years and loves being active in the life of Nexus. She is currently involved in Religious Education at a local school and enjoys teaching children about God's love. Gayle came on staff at Nexus in early 2006 and is currently working in church administration, and pastoral care. She loves spending time with her children and friends and blessing people with her sewing skills.

Jocelyn Habelito

Jocelyn has been a part of Nexus since shortly after moving from New Zealand in 2001. She loves being connected to the family at Nexus, especially through prayer. Jocelyn handles our Finance department, and one of her passions is to enhance good stewardship by increasing people’s understanding that all we are and have is a gift from God to be used for building the Kingdom. She loves tennis, reading, and her Connect group.

Liz Logan

After interning with Jane in 2009, Liz became our Receptionist in 2010. She is passionate about the house of God and loves to serve wherever she can - her favourite area to serve is with the worship team! Liz has a Bachelor of Music & Teaching Degree and a Diploma in Christian Ministry. She enjoys anything to do with music and travel and seeing people fulfil their God potential.

Alan Webster

After working as the Property Supervisor for the College from the mid-1990s, Alan and his family then spent four years in Europe, assisting Eastern European Jews in their return to Israel. With qualifications in Surveying, Financial Planning and Ministry, we were very excited to welcome Alan back to staff in 2008, where he does a fantastic job maintaining and further developing both church and College facilities. In his free time, you’ll find Alan out sailing or off on a camping adventure.

Laura Fraser 

Communications Assistant

Laura has been involved in Nexus for years, but recently joined the staff to provide Communcations support to the various ministries of our church. She is also currently completing a dual degree in Arts and Social Science at the University of Queensland. Between work and study, Laura loves art, taking photos, writing and hanging out with great people! She has a heart for missions and is already planning her next adventure overseas.

Centaine Francis

Centaine is a vibrant young intern here at Nexus. She joined us mid-2009 to train under the direction of Pastor Ruth Limkin and assisting her with tasks in the young adults’ ministry at our church.  When she is not organising events and welcoming newcomers, Centaine studies Pharmacy at the University of Queensland. She enjoys her academic studies, a flamboyant social schedule, and the odd brilliant author.
