Two of the people who go to BSSM here at Nexus prayed for their friend recently who had a very bad knee with worn cartilage, pain and a limp.

After they prayed for him, he went on holidays and this is the email he sent them…

”My knee has been awesome.  I went on a 40 km hike in one day and had no soreness in my knee whatsoever (other than muscle ache, but that was expected).  In fact it started hurting a little way through the walk and I thought of all the healing you both did and the pain went away.

Dear Nexus Church - thank you so much for the brilliant job you all did for the Kingdom Culture conference! We loved the whole thing - everyone was so helpful and friendly: the atmosphere made is very easy to talk to 'strangers'.

My neck was healed on the last session- I wasn't 'looking' for it- I came for the teaching- but the healing was an added bonus! One of Bill’s college students had a 'word of knowledge for pain in the neck on the left side- I put my hand up having had problems for a few years: and especially in the last 2 weeks. I've been taking lots of panadol and doing neck stretches etc.When Bill said stand up, I did and the pain was a lot less. Then he got others to stand with us and pray and the pain went completely. There was no heat or other manifestation that healing was happening - the pain was just gone completely and my neck feels new!

One of the Nexus babies wasn’t putting on weight and the doctor diagnosed him with bad reflux. He was prayed for one Sunday and then went to the doctors two weeks later and got weighed.

This is what his mum said….
Thank you for praying. In two weeks he's put on approximately 500-700grams and is much happier. He hasn't been taken of the reflux meds yet but he goes back to the doctor in a month and she’s confident that he'll be able to come off them then, as long as he is still putting on weight. We are all relieved and very thankful. God is truly good!

My testimony started a couple of months ago at work, where I felt I needed some breakthrough in my contract negotiations. It had been stalled for a couple of months, and I just felt that the devil was preventing it from happening.

On the way to work one day I was listening to Joyce Meyer and she said "if you want to see breakthrough then bless somebody! That’s a way that you can break the devil’s hold on your situation.”

I took that on board and just happened to be on facebook when I saw someone write that their laptop had just given up and they might need a new one.

One Sunday night in 2007, my car was rear ended by another driver. The car was a write off and I was injured with loss of feeling in my hands and arms. My neck would lock up and I had continual pain in my neck and shoulders.

I was only able to sleep for a few hours each night and became very fearful.

Myself and another guy from Nexus were at Enoggera train station sitting at a bench and waiting for our train to arrive. A guy who looked a bit around 16 or 17 came over and asked for the time. I sort of felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to talk to him, so I think I asked him where he was headed or something to initiate conversation.

We found that he knew all about God and had a lot of bible knowledge ... He said his family goes to church most sundays but he keeps on 'stuffing up' or something to that effect (refering to himself going to parties, taking drugs, drinking etc). 

He was amazed that neither of us drink or go to crazy parties. We kept talking, sort of encouraging him, and mentioned that Nexus has a lot of young adults stuff, he might enjoy coming along.

I have been praying since Murray's sermon last Sunday.  I prayed that my family would open our eyes to more situations where we can give people a 'sample of the Kingdom'. This week we have been smiling and saying thank you to the guy at the service station, to the girl at McDonalds and to the lady in the shop who was cranky for me bringing in three children to her shop as I left I said "Thank you for having us" and then she apologised and said "Sorry, I have been having a bad day I didn’t mean to snap at you"

The most remarkable thing happened yesterday.

Last week I went to servo to fill my car. It was all normal until I came to pay at the counter, I sensed in my heart that God wants me to talk to the lady at the cash counter of servo.

I had no time to reason this thought, I said to myself well I will obey God. I knew He will help me in all my ways. It was a busy time at the servo but some reason no one came to the counter when my turn came to pay.

My job is to screen newborn babies for hearing impairment. If a baby doesn't pass the first screen, we repeat it and if they fail again, we send them to audiology. Last week we had a baby that was born at 24 weeks gestation. As he was now over 200 days old, we were able to screen this baby but he had already failed his first screen.

Due to months of injections and treatments, this baby was an extremely agitated, frantic little baby and if you touched him, he screamed. Because of this, if he didn't pass his hearing screen, he would have to be sedated during further testing of his hearing. As you can imagine, his mother was extremely worried that he would need any further treatments and intervention.

I returned from sports camp after, and after the torment of overworking my left arm, it began to hurt.

So as all technological teenagers do i posted it on facebook. Someone from Nexus saw that on facebook, and so Sunday morning they and Isaac Lane prayed for it. It was almost like 'deep heat' was rubbed into my arm and the pain fluttered away with the wind.
