Notes on journalling from Ps Glen

Pastor Glen writes:

Recently I was reading and journaling and a verse in Psalm 9 seemed to jump right out of the page. “Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you” (Psalm 9:10). This verse is about knowing God and seeking Him in a way that He presences Himself with us at all times. Journaling is an excellent way to get to know God on a deeper level and it creates a platform from which the Holy Spirit can teach us more about God and draw us into a deeper and more intimate relationship with the Father.

I journal because I believe that God will speak to me and when He does I want to record my impressions of what He says. I come with a sense of expectancy and always ask “What is it Lord that you want to say to me?”

As I read, I look for lessons to be learned, examples to be followed, promises to be enjoyed and Jesus to be revealed. I write down my thoughts, my impressions, my questions and sometimes my dilemmas.
